08/06/2009 - TYRE CHOICE CRITICAL FOR AUSDECK RACING AT QLD TITLE

Andrew Scheuerle has finished with another podium result for the final night of the 2009 Queensland Title finishing third behind James McFadden & Australian Champion Gary Brazier. Scheuerle lead the feature race for the first half of the 35 lap race when McFadden drove around the outside of him to take the lead. The tyre choice for the evening proving to be the critical error for Ausdeck Racing as Scheuerle held on to finish in third position with about one lap left in his right rear tyre.

"The tyre has nothing left, we are down to the canvas so I'm thankful we finished third. For the last lap, the car was shaking so hard I couldn't even see where I was racing because my vision was blurred so unfortunately we made an error in our tyre choice and that cost us the Qld Title for 2009 but we still finished with a podium and we've won the 2009 Sprintcars Queensland Club Championship so with two series wins this year, it's not a bad result" Scheuerle said.

Ausdeck Racing will now focus on preparing for the 2009/2010 season where the Team are planning a demanding race schedule. There's exciting things planned for the coming season so stay tuned for the latest team news throughout the coming weeks.
