31/10/2009 - ANDREW SCHEUERLE TAKES THIRD FOR AUSDECK RACING

The Comp Cams Series Leader Andrew Scheuerle has finished with another podium result for the Ausdeck Racing Team as he prepares to start travelling interstate for a heavy 09/10 race schedule which will see Ausdeck Racing compete in over 40 races.  Andrew was happy to take home third position after a rough night of racing.

Scheuerle timed in 5th quick and started out of position 5 in his first heat, to finish second. The following heat saw Scheuerle move through the field from 6th to 1st securing him the top spot for the marble draw.

After drawing marble 5, Scheuerle had plenty of work ahead of him and couldn't make ground in the 6 lap Dash. Scheuerle worked his way through to second place in the Feature Race when the caution lights came on only for him to be sent back to 3rd. After trying to avoid an accident with the car ahead, Scheuerle took a push and allowed Murcott to sneak through. As the race went on, Scheuerle eventually took third from Peter Lack to finish with another consistent podium for his team.

Ausdeck Racing will again be at Brisbane International Speedway this Saturday night fighting it out to hopefully win their first A-Main of the season. Consistency is the key but Scheuerle's increasingly hungry for a few A Main wins this season.

"I've got a great Crew Chief now with Glenno which will relieve some of the stress of decision making while I'm trying to focus on racing. For the past few  years, it's been the boys and I that have done it all without a 'Crew Chief' as such. It's nice to have Glenno join the team.  He's experienced and we're able to join the knowledge both of us have so I'm confident we're going to have a good year ahead. We're going to have fun, that's the main thing! I was happy with tonight's effort but I'm chasing wins now, it's time for even better results!"
