26/12/2009 - SCHEUERLE: TOP TEN AT PWWSS RD 4

Andrew Scheuerle has worked his way through the B Main after qualifying 28th in time trials, to finish in 10th position in Feature Race. The crew of the Ausdeck Racing team worked hard to get the Q25 Ausdeck Patios & Roofing Maxim perfect for the night's racing as Shirls drove hard to a satisfying finish.

In the World Series format, time trialling well is critical for a good night's racing to make it easy to transfer straight into the A Main, providing you finish both your heats. Scheuerle is well aware of that but unfortunately it was out of his hands last night at Speedway City in South Australia.

A full house provided a great atmosphere for the racing and Scheuerle was second last out for his time trials, after 40 other cars and the track was taking rubber in the afternoon sun.  Scheuerle timed in with a 12.9 resulting in starting 28th on points.

He worked his way through his heats, taking a heat win and finishing second respectively to start out of 2 in the B Main. Scheuerle drove away with the lead from Phil March and finished in dominating form allowing him to test the car on the high line and the low line leading into the A Main.

Starting out of 15th position for the A Main, Scheuerle was into 11th in the first lap and after working his way forward to 9th, popped his right rear tyre on the last corner of the last lap losing the position to Farrell and finishing in tenth place.

Scheuerle was happy with the result and is looking forward to tonight's racing at Murray Bridge. It's been 5 years since he has raced at Murray Bridge but he is hopeful of a favourable result.
