16/01/2010 - SCHEUERLE IN FORM FOR NIGHT 2 PWWSS RD 11

After a night of thrills and spills with a race track that was extremely wet and rough, Scheuerle was one of the lucky ones who managed to win both of his heats and after qualifying poorly, still managed to start 12th in the A Main. There was controversy between officials and drivers when it came to running the A Main because the track was rough with some massive ruts in turn 3 & 4 at Parramatta City Raceway.  Scheuerle did what he had to do and kept the car in one piece and gathered points for tonight's racing finishing 14th.

Drivers like Bryan Mann and Ben Atkinson were not so lucky hitting the ruts and taking massive flips with Mann flipping his Q16 over more than 5 times. Crew Chief Gleno Inglis was watching Scheuerle's second heat and was hit with a lump of clay along with a spectator who was knocked over. The transporters that line the pits side of the race track also took a beating with some transporters being dented when clay hit during heat races.

Scheuerle's car was locked down in the heats and it showed with him pulling the length of the straight on second place within the first two laps. The A Main showed drivers were cautious and Scheuerle took it carefully to make sure he finished the A Main in one piece remember that the night that really counts is tonight.

Half points were awarded for last night's racing in the A Main so currently Scheuerle is sitting around 13th heading into tonight's racing program.
