17/01/2010 - DISAPPOINTING END FOR AUSDECK RACING AT TPCR
A disappointed Andrew Scheuerle has flown home to Queensland to prepare for Friday night's racing at Mount Gambier followed by The Classic and World Series at Premier Speedway in Victoria. Scheuerle struggled with car setup in the B Main and lost his chance of a transfer position to eventually finish 13th. It rounds out a few frustrating weeks on the road for Ausdeck Racing who are hoping their luck will change come this weekend's racing.
Crew Chief Gleno is currently working on different combinations that will suit Scheuerle and the team knew this season would be a season of research and development. "We knew it wouldn't be easy that's for sure. We are well aware that you don't go on the road with new Crew and have it all work in the first five or ten rounds. In saying that though, we are sometimes losing our chances that we're given when we have the opportunity to make some ground in the final races but hopefully that will change soon." Scheuerle said.
The crew will fly to Melbourne on Thursday in readiness for their schedule over the following days with Scheuerle confident a break-through will come. "Again it's really difficult due to the way the points system is working, I know we all say it every time we talk but it's true, you either need to quicktime and be in the top five or you need to time trial terribly and win both your heats coming off the front row and then you're pretty much guaranteed a spot in the A Main. If you're stuck in between that, you've got no chance really except to start mid field in the B Main and hope like crazy you transfer. It comes down to qualifying in the top five really."
Ausdeck Racing would sincerely like to thank their Sponsors for their support in 2010 and look forward to more favourable results over the coming weeks.
