26th - 27th January 2019, Archerfield Speedway QLD
Andrew Scheuerle wrote his name in the history books, becoming the second ever Queenslander to claim an Australian Sprintcar Title after a perfectly executed win for the Brisbane-based Ausdeck Sprintcar Racing Team. Heading into the final night in 3rd on the leaderboard, Scheuerle stood side by side with his 5-year-old son Oscar, who sang the Australian National Anthem to a packed house.
Who would have guessed that Scheuerle would stand back on that very podium only a few hours later, celebrating the highlight of his 25-year career!
As a full time Sales Manager at Ausdeck Patios & Roofing, Scheuerle is, in his own words, a weekend racer. After traveling Nationally for almost 15 years, the past 10 have been spent racing locally for enjoyment with his Team Owner, Stewart Craig, who also races in the second team car, #Q9.
The 2019/2020 season will see the A1 Ausdeck Patios & Roofing Sprintcar tour Australia for selected events, and head to Tasmania for the 2020 Australian Championship to defend their title.
2019 Australian Champion
Driving into the history books in his new J&J Auto Racing Chassis, Scheuerle took home the pinnacle of Australian Sprintcar Racing at his home track, Archerfield Speedway, and celebrated with his home crowd.
